“Test Mode Windows 8.1 Build 9600" Watermark - Remove

If you have an edition (ex: Core,Pro, or Enterprise) of Windows 8/8.1 installed other than the core edition, then the watermark message will also include the edition.

Remove "Test Mode" Watermark by Turning Off Test Mode

1. Open an elevated command prompt.

2. In the elevated command prompt, copy and paste the command below and press Enter. (see screenshot below)

bcdedit.exe -set TESTSIGNING OFF

3. Close the elevated command prompt.

4. Restart the computer to apply.
