IFS Applications 7.5, 8 and 9 client problem

Some IFS Applications 7.5, 8 and 9 customers reported on 11th November that their Enterprise Explorer client crashed under certain conditions.                           

The cause has been established as Microsoft Windows Update KB3097877 containing
a far-reaching bug that affected IFS Applications and much more.                         Microsoft has now
fixed this bug and reissued the Windows Update.

If you are using IFS Applications 7.5, 8 or 9 and have started to experience crashes of the client since the beginning of this week
please check to see if you have Microsoft Windows Update KB3097877 installed.

If you do, please reinstall it via Windows Update; there is no need to uninstall the original version.Windows Update will automatically take the fixed version and overwrite the original.

If you do not have Microsoft Windows Update KB3097877 installed but still have a problem
it will be something else that is the cause - so please report it to IFS Support through normal channels.
